THIS WEBSITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

his website is in part an exercise in self-indulgence redeemed by art, which is always worth viewing. It includes a section which should be of interest to Seniors attempting to find their way through the confusing web of social support services. Some of the sections are rudimentary but time and commitment will lead to a greater selection. The resources and organisations mentioned herein do not necessarily endorse or agree with, any of the opinions expressed on this site or the method of presentation.

Some of the pages and backgrounds that follow are adorned with details from paintings by William Bouguereau, one of the great French artists of the nineteenth century (born 1825, died 1905).

VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Anne Lightfoot Web and Print Design has experience in graphic and website design, and a few years working in the field of journalism. Since retirement, her services are available partly on a volunteer basis to not-for-profit and other organisations who require assistance with posters, ads, newsletters, web design, etc. This website contains samples of volunteer work she has done for several clients.

Anne has provided technical and graphic services on a volunteer basis to: The Rehabilitation Centre (Volunteer Assoc. Communications Committee, Newsletter Committee), The Good Companions, Breast Cancer Action, The King's Daughters and Sons and the writing class at the Alex Dayton Seniors Centre.

SENIORS
I will try to update this page regularly with news of interest to Seniors. Initially, a resource guide prepared for an Ottawa not-for-profit organisation was converted for display on the web. It offered information regarding the various options available to anyone in need primarily of home support services, and was published for the Glebe area although many of the services listed are available city-wide. The ever-changing face of support for seniors has made it difficult to ensure that the information is current, but I have done my best.
